The project establishes an industrial setup on a heavily sloping , compact piece of land admeasuring 12 acres.
Designed in response to the demand of multifunctional space accommodating a manufacturing shed, diverse utility areas, an administration space and canteen facility for the employees. The design approach addresses the demand of planning of inter dependent and multifunctional spaces on a extremely compact footprint.
Administrative area along with the canteen is part of the linear façade and is visually integrated with the manufacturing facility.
Introduction of landscaped courts in between the connection areas allows ample daylight penetration to the office as well as production shed in addition to visual and acoustic relief.
The main facade being South facing, minimizing the heat ingress through constructional methodologies as cavity walls and shading devices using deep overhangs, recessed window panels were designed and detailed.
The building vocabulary expresses contemporary but soft aesthetics by the treatment of earthy hued terracotta tile cladding adding a vernacular textural character.
